Public Statement by The Club in relation to Tony Guilfoyle

Posted on Tuesday, 24 May 2016

The Club confirms that the employment of its long serving Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tony Guilfoyle has come to an amicable conclusion.

Tony and the Club have not been able to settle terms for a new Contract.

Tony leaves the Club with the best wishes of its Committee and Management and their gratitude for his long and dedicated service to the Club for 32 years, including the last 13 years as CEO.
During this period as CEO Tony was the driving force, with the support of the Committee, on the controlled development plan for the Club, which has positioned it well within the Sydney CBD market, and the Club’s airspace development, in respect of which the current deal with the developer provides for a total value of $96 million to be contributed to the Club and members.

As a final note, the Club rejects completely the unfair and/or highly inaccurate allegations concerning Tony and the Club on social media by anonymous parties. The Club confirms that these allegations are without substance or justification.

The Committee is sure that the members will join it in thanking Tony for his contribution to the Club and wishing him all the best for his future career.

Yours faithfully
