For over 120 years, City Tattersalls Club has been an integral part of the life of Sydney.
Located in the heart of the CBD in Pitt Street, between Market and Park Streets, the Club stands today as one of Sydney’s finest venues.
Although the traditions of the Club are upheld with pride, City Tattersalls Club has evolved into a Club of the times with state-of-the-art facilities for members and guests.
With award-winning restaurants, bustling bars, live entertainment and world-class function facilities, City Tattersalls Club truly is a destination with choice.
For those members interested in maintaining their health and well-being, the Club offers exclusive women’s only and men’s only fitness centres which provide an array of services at very competitive rates.
City Tattersalls Club owns and operates a Ski Lodge at Perisher Valley, one of our finest facilities. ‘Boonoona’ is renowned for having superior service, exquisite cuisine and superb accommodation. The ski-out location is conveniently located only moments away from the Ski Tube Terminal and lifts, giving you easy access. Life, Gold and Silver members and their guests are welcome to stay during the ski season each year.

For over one hundred and twenty years, City Tattersalls Club has been an integral part of Sydney life and a destination for key city events.
|1895||Founded by a group of 20 Bookmakers, City Tatts has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious clubs in Australia.|
|1912||City Tattersalls Club becomes one of only a few clubs in the history of New South Wales to have its own Act of Parliament which gave it an operational freedom few other clubs could enjoy. The Club’s purpose designed building was opened in 1926 on the site of 198–200 Pitt Street located on the ground floor and in the basement of the famous Trocadero Café.|
|1960||The Club donated the City Tattersalls Ashes Cup to the winner of the tests between Australia and Great Britain. In 1928, Bert Hinkler aviator was honoured in the Club’s Lower Lounge to celebrate his epic solo fight from Britain to Australia. Shortly after, Amy Johnson the British aviatrix appeared in the open balcony of the first floor on 6 June 1930 to celebrate her completion of the epic solo flight from London to Darwin in 19 days, a feat which caused an excited crowd of Sydneysiders to block Pitt Street outside the Club to welcome her. Amy was presented with a gold life membership.|
|1960||City Tattersalls Club purchases the adjacent site at 196 Pitt Street and constructed a new building.|
|1963||The Club had the foresight to admit ladies as members to City Tattersalls Club.|
|1970||A heat of the Worlds Professional Snooker Championships in the Lower Lounge of the Club won by Eddie Charlton was televised nationally.|
|1975||City Tattersalls Club buys the adjacent site, 202-204 Pitt Street, from the former Tattersalls Club|
|1995||City Tattersalls Club celebrated a century of achievement.|
|2007||The Club purchases the 194 Pitt Street building as part of its ongoing controlled development plan. As a result of the amalgamations, the Club became the largest CBD club with an array of offerings responding to the changing market.|
