Important announcement regarding the Board of Directors

Posted on Tuesday, 3 July 2018

I regret to advise that Linda Fitzhardinge FAICD has announced her resignation from the Board of our Club.

Linda has been a key contributor to the Board’s leadership over the past 14 years in her role as director and for the past three years as vice chair. Linda was also Chair of the Club’s Sponsorship & Community Committee and a hard-working member of other steering committees.

Through her strategic thinking and her commitment to continuous improvement, Linda made significant contributions to our Club’s governance and director development and led the recent changes to the Club Rules.

The Board and management will miss Linda’s energy and input. Her legacy is a Club that is much more professional and well-structured. We sincerely thank her for her long-term contribution and wish her every success in her future endeavours.

Announcing a new director: Kumar Kalyanakumar
To fill the vacancy, the Board is proud to announce the appointment of Kumar Kalyanakumar as a Director. Kumar has been a City Tatts Gold Member for 18 years and is a strong supporter of the Club’s efforts to make its business more sustainable and redevelop its significant property holdings in the CBD.

Kumar has more than 30 years’ experience in banking and investment management, having spent 14 years with CBA and Westpac and a further 14 as an Executive Director and major shareholder of a boutique funds management business.

Kumar is currently the Head of Australia, Real Assets at AXA Investment Managers (AIM), with oversight of a multi-billion-dollar property portfolio. He is also Chairman of AIM local boards and has considerable governance, risk and compliance experience.

Kumar holds Bachelor of Business and Master of Finance degrees and is an active member of the Men’s Fitness Centre, which he visits five mornings a week, and President of the recently-formed City Tattersalls Cycling Club.

The Board is delighted to welcome Kumar and we look forward to working to collectively achieve great things for our Members.
